Supporting Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in Style!
May 25, 2011

Annie sez was honored to be a part of the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club annual luncheon benefit at the elegant Cipriani 42nd Street recently.  More than 300 guests perused dozens of designer handbags including this Carlos Falchi Metallic Shopping Tote from Annie sez available for auction.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch honoring the philanthropic dedication of Asprey, Julie Dannenberg of Avenue Magazine and designer Eric Javits.

The luncheon was hosted by LX New York and NBC4 television personality Jane Hanson.

The event was quite a success and netted $106,000 for the charity.  “I’ve been a supporter of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club for years,” Javits said. “The whole reason I went into fashion is because I was inspired, and the staff of Madison Square inspires New York City kids to dream, strive and succeed. Their work for children in disadvantaged neighborhoods gives young people the chance to become the teachers, businesspeople, engineers, editors and fashion designers of tomorrow.”

Guests dressed in their spring finest gathered in the historied halls of Cipriani 42nd Street to mix, mingle and bid on dozens of designer handbags, with all proceeds benefiting Madison Square Boys & Girls Club.

“In a very short time, this event has grown into one of the greatest ‘see and be seen’ events in New York society,” said Purses & Pursenalities Event Co-Chair Amy Hoadley. “Supporting worthy not-for-profits is always in fashion, and Purses & Pursenalities gives more than 300 women the opportunity to celebrate the work of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in style.”
